LastPlayer Local Backups
Effective October 14, 2026

Privacy policy

This policy covers LastPlayer Local Backups, a personal workspace backup and testing utility operated by the account holder reachable at lastplayerapp@gmail.com. It does not describe the LastPlayer Android application’s handling of end-user data.

Google Drive access

The utility uses Google OAuth authorization through rclone. Its configured Drive permission permits reading and managing Drive files, including file contents and metadata. Routine jobs use designated folders to download test builds and media, upload automation reports, and store encrypted workspace backups. The permission itself is broader than these folders.

Data and purpose

Workspace snapshots can contain source code, Git history, local changes, generated files, test builds, media fixtures, diagnostics, and audit evidence. Test reports can contain device information, screenshots, UI hierarchies, logs, timings, and results. Files and metadata are processed to preserve the workspace and run and document tests. This utility is intended for its operator’s account, not public account enrollment.

Storage and protection

Restic encrypts backup snapshots before rclone uploads them to Google Drive. OAuth credentials and the backup recovery key are stored separately on the operator’s PC, outside the backed-up workspace. Downloaded fixtures, test evidence, and working files are also stored locally. Separate readable reports uploaded to Drive are not encrypted by restic; their access follows the operator’s Drive sharing settings.

Sharing and AI processing

Google processes Drive data to provide its storage service. The utility does not sell Google user data or use it for advertising. Selected test evidence may be summarized by a local model running on the operator’s PC. Routine local-model jobs do not send their prompts to Claude or ChatGPT. The operator may separately choose to share curated reports with development assistants; that sharing is controlled by the operator and the receiving service’s policies.

Retention and control

Backups and evidence are retained until the operator deletes them; automatic backup pruning is not currently enabled. Revoking the utility’s access in Google Account settings prevents future authorized Drive operations but does not remove existing local files or stored Drive backups. Existing copies must be deleted separately by the operator, including any Drive trash copies. Google may retain service records under its own policies.

The utility’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
